ChannelAdvisor’s multichannel commerce platform and Brandsom’s marketplace knowledge have resulted in a quick European expansion for brand Bamboo Basics. Together, the parties collaborated to onboard all 16 Zalando Fulfillment Services (ZFS) locales within four weeks!
Bamboo Basics is a sustainably produced and socially responsible Bamboo underwear brand. Its production process is OEKO-TEX 100 certified. This means that the products do not contain any harmful substances for people and the environment. The brand also uses a supplier whose packaging comes from FSC certified plantations. The Forest Stewardship Council is an international organization dedicated to the preservation and conscious management of forests worldwide.
Bamboo Basics recognised the growing importance of marketplaces and began looking for a scalable solution to help expand to multiple different channels. Zalando was the top priority for the brand because of the size of the marketplace in its home country, the Netherlands. The underwear brand was looking to expand across Europe and to build brand awareness in foreign countries. Since Bamboo Basics did not have the internal resources to onboard and manage the Zalando expansion themselves due to the complexity of the platform, they outsourced the project to Brandsom.

Sustainability is an important factor for Zalando, with the marketplace making sustainability assessments mandatory for all partner brands by 2023. Brandsom added sustainability tags to all their products, making it easier for customers to find Bamboo Basics when they are looking for sustainable products on marketplaces such as Zalando.
To ensure scalability, Brandsom integrated Bamboo Basics with ChannelAdvisor, and the apparel brand confirms managing content and onboarding all European Zalando countries through ZFS was simplified and easier.
